Kingdom Connection devotions began in 2004 as a
few sentences written to share a "moment in missions" and introduce weekly prayer concerns that were circulated
among the leadership team at New Life Lutheran Church - prayers for members, prayers for our missionaries and their missions,
and prayers for wisdom and guidance as our congregation went through a time of transition. Over time, those few sentences
grew and turned into weekly, one-page devotions focused on encouraging and challenging us as we participated in God's mission.
Eventually, members of the leadership
team encouraged me to share these devotions with a wider audience. Based on 1 Corinthians 12:7, I believe the Christian community
has a say in how we develop and use our gifts. "Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common
good."
So, at the urging of my
brothers and sisters at New Life, this Web site was born. I pray it will be a blessing to every reader and used to God's glory
for the sake of His mission.
